Verification helps, but it's not a guarantee. A verified badge means we reviewed a merchant's documents — it does not guarantee a safe transaction. Always use your own judgment.
Meet in public places
Always meet buyers and sellers in busy, well-lit public locations like shopping plazas, police stations, or bank lobbies. Never meet at a private home or isolated spot.
Inspect before you pay
Examine the item thoroughly before handing over any money. Test electronics, check documents for vehicles, and confirm the condition matches the listing.
Never pay in advance
Don't send money before receiving an item. Be wary of requests for wire transfers, gift cards, or cryptocurrency. Pay only after you've seen and approved the item.
Bring a friend
For high-value items, bring someone you trust along to the meeting. Let a friend or family member know where you're going and who you're meeting.
Keep communication on LinkCarib
Use our in-app messaging so there's a record of the conversation. Be cautious of sellers who push you to move to other apps or channels.
Verify contact details
Confirm the seller's phone number and identity before meeting. If something feels off, walk away — there will always be another listing.
Report suspicious activity
If you encounter a scam, fraudulent listing, or unsafe user, report the listing using the Report button on its detail page, or contact us directly. Our team reviews every report and takes action to keep the community safe.
