LinkCarib ("we", "us", or "our") operates a digital marketplace connecting buyers, sellers, and businesses across the Caribbean, starting in Jamaica. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using LinkCarib, you agree to the practices described here.

- Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored securely) when you register.
- Profile & listing data: details you add to your profile, listings, business storefront, messages, and reviews.
- Uploaded content: photos and documents you submit (such as listing images and business verification documents).
- Usage data: pages viewed, search queries, device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Communications: messages you send through our chat feature or to our support team.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
- To display your listings and business storefront to other users.
- To facilitate messaging between buyers and sellers.
- To process merchant subscriptions and payments through our payment provider, Stripe.
- To enforce business verification and keep the marketplace safe.
- To send service notifications, security alerts, and (with consent) promotional updates.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as needed to operate the platform: with payment processors (Stripe), cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, and authorities where required by law. Your public listing details, seller name, and storefront content are visible to other users by design.
Data Retention
We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. Visitor listings expire after 24 hours. Merchant listings remain active for the duration of an active subscription. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent for promotional communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@linkcarib.demo. We respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and restricted internal access. No method of storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.
Children's Privacy
LinkCarib is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with an updated date. Continued use of LinkCarib after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
